A photographer named Keiryan shared a stunning shot he took to release a newborn spider found in his home. The clicks caught the attention of Instagram followers.
In a video, he explains that he saw a large spider in his bedroom window. But instead of destroying it, she decided to return it to the wild. So he put the animal in a glass jar and let it go. But there she saw the perfect opportunity to take a photo shoot.
With her phone’s camera and lens, she took several close-ups, including magnified images of the spider she named Mistress Arachnid. In the caption, he provided information on the techniques and tools used, including an editing app.
“It’s amazing what your pocket phone can capture with the right tools. Arachnid’s opening and closing shots consist of 16 different ProRAW photos taken via @halideapp with a 75″ long-range macro lens attachment. mm @shiftlens that’s over 500MB of data in total. I imported each photo into Affinity Photo (@affinitybyserif) to create a ‘focus merge’ and 40+ megapixel panorama! Finally, I colored each of these scenes @lightroom. This is my first attempt at composite photography, so honest comments are welcome!” reads the title of the post.
The video received more than 6,000 likes on Instagram and lots of comments from followers.
One follower wrote, “Fantastic presentation bro! I hate spiders but these photos are sensational!” said. A second person said: “Good, but at the same time, looking at all those baby spiders gives me goosebumps.”
The result of the magnified photos of the spider looks like an enlarged image of the face of an ant, which won a prize in a Nikon photography competition for Lithuanian Eugenijus Kavaliauskas.
