Argentina’s Vice President Cristina Kirchner has released a video with alleged evidence that her deputy Gerardo Milman (PRO) has ties to the authors of the September 1 shooting attack. Information from the newspaper Clarin from Argentina.
In the video, an Argentine journalist describes hearing a witness say that Milman was “planning to go ashore” during the attack on the vice president – this meeting at a bar lasted two days before the attack.
The footage shows the MP entering a bar two days ago and “going to the shore” the day after the attack. Milman denies accusations that he knew or took part in the attack and said it was a “major operation of Kirchnerism”.
Kirchner’s defense insists that this congressman, who, according to a witness, may have learned of his plans to attack the vice president, should be investigated.
“What is not investigated in the first few months will never be verified, and we are talking about the most serious attack since the return of democracy,” said Deputy Justice Minister Juan Martín Mena.
The video also criticizes the judge in charge of the case, María Eugenia Capuchetti, for not summoning Milman to testify. Kirchner accused him of being biased.
remember the case
When Kirchner, 69, who was a former president from 2007 to 2015, arrived at his home in Buenos Aires on September 1, he was attacked by a man who sneaked into his supporters and shot him twice.
The man was arrested at the scene and is on trial for attempted murder along with two others.
A 21-year-old girl close to this group was recently released for lack of evidence.
A few days ago, Kirchner said that businessmen who support former president Mauricio Macri finance demonstrations of radical groups.
In the video released on Thursday, these demonstrations were seen as the beginning of the attack.
The former president, for whom the Ministry of Public Affairs is seeking 12 years in prison, is facing a lawsuit that will enter its final phase on 14 November on corruption charges and could be decided before the end of the year.
