Colombian drug police arrested two Colombian women on Thursday they hid nearly 2 kilos of cocaine in their wigs and genitals. Both were destined for Spain, although they were discovered at several airports.
The Colombian defense ministry reported on social networks that the arrests were made at the José María Córdova international airport, located in the nearby municipality of Rionegro, in Antioquia, and at Alfonso Bonilla Aragón, in Cali, in the Valle del Cauca.
“Two Colombian citizens were captured trying to travel to Spain carrying cocaine in their hair. In both cases, a total of 1,950 grams of cocaine“, the securities portfolio tweeted.
The first of the captures was made at Cali airport, where authorities arrested a woman walking with her passport in hand and destined for Madrid.
In front of the authorities, the woman, whose identity was not released, got nervous and was taken to an X-ray room. There it was discovered that she was wearing a wig with bags full of cocaine attached. Furthermore, they found 200 grams more of that drug on her genitals.
On the other hand, the second arrest took place at José María Córdova airport, where police personnel captured another woman carrying 650 grams of cocaine in a wig and another 200 grams in her private parts. The woman would also have traveled to Madrid. Her identity was also not released.
They arrested a woman in Ezeiza who had cocaine-soaked clothes
A woman with a criminal record who intended to board a flight to Europe was arrested on August 25 in Ezeiza after security officers confirmed she had liquid cocaine soaked in many of the clothes she was carrying in her suitcase.
According to police sources, inspectors from the Department of Drug Trafficking and Related Crimes of the Directorate General of Customs approached the 30-year-old suspect in the midst of a selective screening of passengers last Thursday in the departure hall of the A terminal.
While queuing at the Air France counter to check in his luggage, he had to answer some questions from the agents. As she was hesitant and responded to some inconsistencies, she was taken to a room where they checked a pink backpack and a black suitcase she was carrying.
While analyzing his things, they noticed it the clothes were stiff and had an unusual hardness, as well as being heavier than expected. In addition, they found 250,000 pesos in cash.
When applying the corresponding reagents to clothing to detect the presence of drugs, the result was positive for cocaine. A total of 36 garments, including shirts, t-shirts, pants, towels and muscle shirts, were soaked in liquid cocaine that had solidified. The total weight was 9,720 kilogramsincluding clothing.
The woman, who was about to board a plane to Paris, France and then take another flight to the Portuguese city of Lisbon, refused to testify and was detained.
