Environmental activists threw eight kilograms of flour on a work by pop art icon Andy Warhol on display in Milan.
The action took place at the “Andy Warhol: The Publicity of Form” exhibition in the financial capital of Italy and targeted a car stylized by the American artist.
Alongside the flour, the two activists stuck their hands on the car windows, while the rest of the group threw paintballs on the floor.
The protest was carried out by the Last Generation group, an Italian member of Extinction Rebellion (literally Extinction Rebellion), which claims to be fighting against climate collapse and is responsible for similar actions at other museums in Europe.
In recent months, members of The Last Generation have attacked works by Van Gogh and Botticelli in museums in Rome and Florence, respectively, but without damaging the paintings.
