A woman from the United States heard the heartbeat from his deceased daughter inside the chest of a 68-year-old man who received it through a transplant.
Amber Morgan, from Indiana; Y Tom Johnsonfrom Illinois, met on Saturday, four years after receiving the organ by Andreona Williams, who I was 20 years old when he died of complications of asthma.
Organ donation and unusual meeting
The Indiana Donor Network hosted the unusual gathering at a Chicago hotel, reported the Chicago Tribune.
“It’s almost like I’m hugging my daughter again,” said the woman, who put on Johnson’s chest stethoscope. “It’s amazing,” she added.
Johnson, of Kankakee, Illinois, said so sent a letter to Morgan in 2019, one year after the transplant at Loyola University Medical Center in suburban Chicago. I wanted to thank you for the family’s decision to donate their hearts.
He also sent her a second letter, but received no reply until recently, when the woman said she would like to meet, especially after their own heart problems.

“It’s opened up a whole new world of possibilities. It’s just amazing. I mean, I can exercise in the yard, ride my bike. My kids can’t believe how fast I can go,” she said.
His wife, Sharon, said Williams’ heart is special.
“He takes very special care of her,” she said. “She never misses her heart meds. Never.”
