A car occupies an Apple store in the USA, one person is killed, 16 injured

One person was killed and at least 16 injured when a car drove into an Apple store in Hingham, Massachusetts. The information was confirmed by Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz at a press conference today.

Cruz said at around 10:45 a.m., he made several calls to 911 (US emergency services), asked for help, and talked about the Derby Street crash. The prosecutor added that when Hingham police and firefighters arrived at the scene, they found multiple casualties at the Apple store.

“A dark SUV suddenly appeared and sped through the glass window at an uncertain speed and crashed into several people,” Cruz said.

“Sixteen people were transferred to hospitals,” he added. “One death happened, one person died.”

Apple’s address at Derby Street hinge It is currently closed, according to the international news network CNN.

“We apologize for the inconvenience caused while this store is closed,” the company website says. “Until we reopen, please consider using our online services.”

On Twitter, internet users posted videos and photos of rescuers moving in front of the store.
