Tragic fire in a factory in China: at least 38 dead

At least 38 dead and two wounded is the fatal balance left so far by a fierce fire which broke out this Monday in a technological plant in the city of Anyangin China.

The first flames were recorded at 4:22 pm (local time) on Monday at Kaixinda commercial facilities in Wenfeng district, in the so-called “high-tech zone”. Only at 23:00 the fire brigade and the rescue team finished the rescue operations, after putting out the fire.

“After receiving the alarm, the municipal fire brigade detachment was immediately sent to the scene. Public safety, emergency response, municipal administration and electricity supply units rushed to the scene at the same time to manage the emergency and relief efforts” . CCTV channel reported.

Dozens of people approached the scene of the accident and filmed the flames and the large column of black smoke with their cell phones. The images quickly went viral on social networks, raising concern among the population.

The two injured were taken to a local hospital for medical treatment, while several factory employees are in police custody, until the cause of the fire can be determined.

The first investigations suggest that the works were in progress welds that generated sparkswhich in turn set fire to the cotton cloths, according to the municipal emergency management department.
