Tourists are on the loose in Doha and sometimes have no direction at all. Let’s go to the case that summons us here. In the last few hours, a video of an English fan who showed part of his evening together Did it happen yesterday? in the capital of Qatar.

In the pictures you can see Alex Sullivan and his compatriot John in a completely delusional situation: they went to get some beers and ended up in a sheikh’s palace playing with the lion cubs.

Both were “having a good time” and were going for a drink, Sullivan told TalkSPORT, when they met the son of a sheikh who after talking to them decided to take them to see his palace in a Toyota Land Cruiser. The duo obviously got into the adventure.

“He showed us around. it had lions and everything. They made us feel so welcome,” said Alex, that when he “looked” at what the villa used to be he just said, “It doesn’t get any better than this.”

“We were in the back and he showed us the monkeys, his exotic birds… It was crazy!” completed Alex, who also embraced one of the lions that the sheikh’s son had locked up in his palace.

The ice cream show

Many stars who aren’t exactly footballers attend the Qatar 2022 World Cup. The ice cream makers who work in Doha’s quintessential gastronomic area are some of them.

Every time someone asks for ice cream, they put on a show. They bring the cone to their customers and, as if the sweet were the ring in a carousel and they were the carousels, they invite the buyer to take it off their hands, which is impossible.

They all use the same technique: they offer semi-finished or finished ice cream with a stick and for a few seconds they repeatedly pretend to give it to the buyer.

Thanks to the fact that there are many videos of them – and they are very successful on Twitter – tourists who have traveled to Qatar to watch the World Cup are already very familiar with them.

Harun, one of the crazy ice cream makers, is Turkish and speaks only English. He is 42 years old and works in the Souq Waqif market in Doha. He will stay there for three months until he raises an amount of money (about $15,000) that will help him through the rest of the year.

Each of your ice cream (with show included) costs 1700 Argentinean pesos. It works from five in the afternoon to three in the morning and serves about 300 a day. “It’s normal for me,” Harun said of the frequency of sales.
