The film is characterized by giving no respite to the viewers. The script flies and parachutes the audience from one twist to the next and transports them at will.

However, the crime thriller directed by Kookie Gulati was not very successful at the time of its release. “The film didn’t do as well at the box office as we expected, but I think every film has its own destiny. We all did our best and now it’s up to the audience to decide,” actor Khurana said in an interview.

Synopsis of “Dhoka”

Dhoka round D corner is the story of a terrorist who inadvertently enters an apartment and takes an innocent woman hostage.

Police and media meet as the situation escalates. The woman and the terrorist play cat and mouse and seem to get along. The woman seduces him and develops an intimate bond with the aggressor. Now they find themselves in a sticky situation, with her possibly hallucinating in captivity and him telling a completely different story to the cop outside her.

The woman tells the terrorist that they are giving her the wrong medicines to make her lose her sanity, and she wins over the terrorist. The man tells the policeman that his wife has a particular mental condition and she blames him for having an affair with her psychiatrist.

What follows is a multi-perspective thriller that makes us question the very fabric of humanity. Between the twists and the unexpected, the dark side of the four characters: the wife, the terrorist, the husband and the policeman is twisted and turned around, forcing the public to believe what it is not and then once again, overturning the truth with each new perspective.

The good wife, the lover, the patient, what really is the wife? The cheater, the worried husband, the murderer, who is the real husband? What about the policeman and the terrorist?

Duration

The film runs for one hour and 52 minutes and can be enjoyed on Netflix
