Parents flying with their baby daughter were targeted after other passengers complained he was allowed to let loose on an eight-hour flight.
A traveler, believed to be from the United States, shared the video on Reddit earlier this week after flying alongside a family who allowed their daughter to go crazy on the long flight.
Posting the clip with the caption “Letting the kids run wild on an 8-hour flight,” the user shared a video that shows the young man jumping vigorously across a table full of food.
The front passenger seemed to ignore the commotion, even as his chair rocked furiously with the motion. Many other Reddit users were horrified by the clip. and said they would be mortified if they were the child’s parents.
One wrote, “I would feel like a failed parent if my kids did this and I allowed it.” Meanwhile, another commented: “My parents would have kicked me off the plane mid-flight.”
A third added: “The bounce is obviously infuriating, but so are bare feet on the tray table… ‘Always clean your trays folks.’
A quarter wrote: “I would never let one of my children upset anyone like this. Talking a little loud is one thing. Making your child jump on airplane seats while he’s holding on to someone else’s (stranger’s) chair is completely wrong.”
“I hope that man has somehow been repaid. Parents probably saw nothing wrong with that. Unacceptable.’ Where are the flight attendants? another commented. “If so, I hope the passenger gets compensation from the airline.”
Meanwhile, others praised the front passenger for keeping his cool during the interaction.
One wrote: ‘How that man kept his cool is anyone’s guess…’ Another wrote: ‘Why does that guy let that happen? I would have said something. “That guy is really patient,” added a third. “Some kids really need to control their kids.”
However, others said they would have used a different tactic to handle the situation. One person wrote: “I would ask the parents to stop her. She then she vigorously reclined and lay down the seat.”
