Biden went to spend the Thanksgiving holiday, which took place last Thursday (24), on the island of Nantucket in the north of the country. The vehicles were hired by the Secret Service, which is responsible for the president’s security.
According to the Nantucket Current, all five cars were smashed and their fronts completely burned. One of the cars, a Ford Expedition SUV, made a safety call because of a battery problem that, in other cases, caused a fire.
Nantucket Fire Chief Michael Cranson told the newspaper that the fire department does not believe it was arson, but they are investigating what may have started the fire.
