A denial German nurse was convicted this Thursday (30) for administering the wrong doses of the covid-19 vaccine to nearly 8,600 seniors in Friesland, Germany, between March and April 2021. Antje T., 39, is expected to serve six months in prison on parole.
During the pandemic, the nurse made publications contrary to protective vaccines against coronavirus. He needed doses of BioNTech Pfizer at the vaccination center where he worked, but replaced the inoculant with a saline solution.
The victims of the fake app were mostly teachers and healthcare workers over the age of 70, German broadcaster NDR reported. During the Oldenburg Court trial, he apologized for the crimes, but was eventually convicted of willful assault six times.
According to police officials, the nurse managed to administer thousands of wrong doses before she was caught, as she was responsible for syringe and vaccine doses. A month after the plan, another employee noticed that he had been replaced with the serum and denounced Antje.
In her statement, the nurse admitted that she only used the saline solution once. According to the woman, she would have broken a six-dose bottle and decided to replace it with the serum because she did not dare to tell the story to her colleagues.
However, laboratory tests confirmed that several patients who received the treatments performed by Antje did not develop antibodies against covid-19, according to the NDR. The patients were revaccinated, this time with the real dose of vaccine.
