A woman was arrested Thursday 1st after the bodies of two babies were found in the freezer of her home in Bédoin, southeast France, where justice has opened a murder investigation, the Public Ministry announced this Friday (two).
The suspect was arrested at this location near Mount Ventoux and is in police custody, Carpentras prosecutor Hélène Mourges said in a statement.
He said the bodies were found after a call to the police.
The bodies of the two newborn babies were found following a man’s complaint to police Wednesday, according to the Public Prosecutor’s Office. His connection to the 41-year-old actor is unknown.
The suspect underwent a psychological and psychiatric examination.
The MP said an autopsy would be conducted on Monday “to determine the causes and consequences of the deaths”, without providing further details about the babies’ sex or their connection to the detainee.
