In Brisbane, Australia, a man found a 2.5-metre-long python hidden in a wardrobe drawer.
According to Newsweek’s report, the story was shared by the Australian on the Reddit virtual forum. She said she woke up and when she opened the drawer to get clothes she found the giant reptile.
Fortunately, the species the Australian found is a carpet python that is not considered venomous and is also quite common in the Oceania country. The carpet python can grow to over 10 feet tall.
“I woke up to find a snake lurking in my drawer. He was quite friendly, he took my arm and I let him back into the bush,” wrote the Reddit user.
Australia is known as one of the countries with the highest number of snake species in the world. There are about 140 reptile species, and it’s not uncommon for residents to encounter a snake indoors, especially in warm weather.
