Netflix knows how to captivate her audience, and that’s just what director Liz Garbus will do with the launch of the docuseries of “Harry and Megan”based on the romance of prince harry e the Duchess of Sussex.
The first season of this story, from six episodeswill be released on December 8thwhile the second will be launched on December 15th.
According to the streaming service, “the series explores the clandestine days of their first courtship and the challenges that led to them feeling compelled to abandon their full-time roles at the institution.”
“With comments from friends and family, most of whom have never spoken publicly about what they witnessed, and historians analyzing the current state of the British Commonwealth and the royal family’s relationship with the press, the series does more than illuminate a couple’s love. The story paints a picture of our world and how we treat each other,” add the creators of the production.
Meghan (41) and Harry (38) first signed a multi-year deal with the streaming service in September 2020. At the time, US newspaper The New York Times mentioned that the Sussex production center, more later called Archewell Productions, it would exclusively create documentaries, docuseries, feature films, movies and even children’s content for Netflix.
“It’s nice to be able to entrust someone with our story, an experienced director whose work I’ve admired for a long time,” said the Duchess.
“My husband had never worked in this industry before. For me, having worked on ‘Suits’, it’s great to be surrounded by so much creative energy and to see how people work together and share their points of view. It was a lot of fun,” said Meghan, after co-directing her husband’s documentary.
