A quarrel between two grandmothers admitted to a German hospital threatens to end in an absurd, even bizarre tragedy. A 72-year-old woman, tired of the noise of her roommate’s artificial respirator, He got up from the hospital bed, went to unplug it.
Apparently, the machine’s alarm going off at that moment, the 79-year-old patient was able to reconnect almost immediately and this did not happen by accident. There, medical personnel warned the woman that this device was vital to her roommate.
However, some time later and after the warning, the angry lady got out of bed again and again disconnected her 79-year-old partner’s life support.
Urgently, once again the doctors had to revive the attacked patient, who miraculously saved her life.
“First, the 72-year-old woman allegedly turned off the device at an unspecified time before 8:00 pm after being disturbed by the noise from the oxygen device. Although hospital staff advised the suspect that the oxygen supply was a vital measure, she is said to have turned the device off again at around 9pm,” authorities confirmed.
After the two “accidents”, the woman was transferred to another sector of the German medical center located in Mannheimm. And then, once he recovered, a lawsuit was filed “attempted murder”
The attacker allegedly justified himself by saying that the noise generated by that device bothered her. However, she didn’t think about the consequences that might come next. She was arrested and entered prison.
The affected patient, however, had to be promptly revived and transferred to the Intensive Care Unit of the same hospital. Even if, for the moment, there is no fear for his life.
