It was November 2 at 6:30 am (local time), when the security services realized that these animals were in an area close to their main exhibit.
How the lions escaped
In a little over a minute long video, the cats were seen playing and interacting with a fence, before one of the kittens had the audacity to attempt to crawl under it.
It was then that his brothers followed him and Ato, an adult male who was waiting for the young to come out to follow in their footsteps.
According to a statement quoted by local media, the animals “calmly investigated a few meters from their main enclosure earlier get under the fence” when the lioness and the keepers began to call them.
But then three of the cubs and the adult returned to their enclosure, though the zoo’s emergency team had to sedate a baby lioness with a tranquilizer before they could bring her back.
