A video of a patient being transported on a hospital stretcher “swallowed” by an elevator has been on social media this week. The registration was to be made in India but there is no information about the patient’s health status despite being widely disseminated by local means. According to the Times of India, there was no public demonstration by the health department where the incident occurred.

In the footage, the man is carefully placed in an elevator by nurses. But at a certain moment, before the professionals notice the situation in time and the object is in a vertical position, the elevator starts to go down with the doors still open.

The scene is still recorded from inside the elevator, where it is possible to observe the whole situation in more detail. After the elevator begins to descend, the bed becomes vertical and the man falls headlong.

The video started this week among Brazilian Twitter users and has already generated memes.

“There’s nothing like going home to rest after surgery,” wrote one user, mocking the situation.

The case occurred in the first half of October, although it is only now beginning to be successful in Brazil.

The person responsible for publishing the footage was Rupin Sharma, an Indian police officer. “How did this happen? Pray for the well-being of the patient and staff,” he wrote, without explaining the hospital where the situation will take place.

Indian journalist Abhinay Deshpande, who contributed to The Hindu newspaper, also published the images that went viral in a short time and reached new clippings.

Deshpande did not provide further details on where the situation will occur and what the patient’s condition will be after the incident, although he did publish the scene.

An elevator malfunction in Russia also attracted attention on social media in October this year.

At that time, a man was nearly beheaded while trying to get off a moving elevator in a residential complex in Krasnodar. At that time, the authorities stated that they would investigate the incident and call the organization responsible for the maintenance of the elevators in the area to inspect the company’s work.
