At age 64, every post by Madonna on social media he causes havoc among his millions of followers. The last thing she posted is an Instagram Reel and several Instagram Stories wearing a black lace balaclava, matching bustier and lots of glitter.
In the mouth, he sported one of his signature diamond grills applied to the teeth and accessorized with a crop, as seen during the Art Basel festival in Miami last week.
But the rebellious Madonna plays the game she likes best: that of the provocation. Even if this makes many of his followers explode in the comments.
“You are a fantastic singer and you don’t need to do all this! She makes you look old and desperate for attention… please stop! A follower commented on Madonna’s post and added: “You’re ruining your beauty!!!”
“Listen to your fans, be yourself, not this,” implored another, while a third simply said her latest outrageous outfit “feels weird.”
But others have jumped to Madonna’s defense, with one in particular pointing out that she’s the music legend she has been provocative since the beginning of her decade-long career.
“Everyone has something to say about their appearance. Aesthetics are subjective, arbitrary, and irrelevant to substance,” they wrote, in part. “What you are expressing is your discomfort with his actions. This is exactly what art should do: provoke. She is an artist who plays with contemporary media”.
She added: “Hardly anyone on Instagram posts images that resemble their natural look. Ask yourself why you care so much. Ask yourself why it bothers you. Do you think she cares what you think? Do you know what he thinks about you? Whatever.”
In one of her photos on Instagram Stories, Madonna showed her face washed, with a whip in her teeth and a provocative message: “Baby want to ride”.
Like I’m a dog and topless
A month ago, the queen of pop uploaded to social media a collage of various photos showcasing her neon green sweater paired with sparkly shorts, tights and thigh-high boots.
She was seen next to a motorcycle and a food pantry. But she suddenly started posing sexually with a mustard bottle and knob.
But perhaps what surprised fans the most was when she lapped up water from a dog bowl on the floor as the Stooges’ song “I Wanna Be Your Dog” played in the video.
Days earlier, Madonna had gone completely topless in a series of photos in what is perhaps her most raunchy Instagram post to date.
Madonna uploaded two photos but followed the platform’s guidelines by covering her nipples with those emojis, one for candy and one for money.
On her bottom half, Madonna wore a gold corset along with black fishnet stockings.
Madonna posed in what appeared to be a dressing room as she put her hair in pigtails and went for glamorous makeup.
The photos had a reason: They’re part of the 30th anniversary promotion for her fifth studio album, ‘Erotica,’ originally released on October 20, 1992.
