A strange sea creature was found on a beach in England, and the record was shared on the social network Reddit Monday (5). From the images, the unusual creature has a gray body with white spots, a tail and four “claws” of different sizes. The head is rounded and flattened.

Not knowing what animal it is, user “huskyboi72” made a post asking the community for help in identifying him. The animal soon began to be treated as the “baby of the Loch Ness monster” by Internet users. The existence of “Nessie” as it is known, the water cryptid reportedly seen in the Scottish Highlands, has never been scientifically proven.

The creature shared ideas with predictions going from a plesiosaur, a marine reptile of the Mesozoic Era, to an alien being (many of them don’t need to make the recording ironic).

According to the British tabloid Metro, the most plausible suggestion would be an animal common in British waters: a stingray, but with its fins removed.

People claiming to have sea fishing experience hypothesize that the animal was caught by a fisherman or predator and its fins were torn or eaten.

However, the official identity of the animal has not yet been confirmed.
