The United States National Archives has released thousands of documents pertaining to the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
According to the National Archives, 12,879 documents were released, but the White House blocked the release of a few thousand more for national security reasons.
According to the source, 97% of the records were published, reaching nearly five million pages.
US President Joe Biden said in a note that he would continue to hold a “limited” amount of documents.
“Temporarily delaying the public disclosure of this information is necessary to protect us from identifiable harm to military defence, intelligence operations, law enforcement or the conduct of foreign affairs,” he said.
