According to the British newspaper The Sun, 13-year-old Harley Bennett avoided amputating her left foot after stepping on an e-cigarette. The case took place in Cirencester, England.

  • Bennet was out with friends when he found an e-cigarette.
  • The youths were trying to step on it to crush the target as if it were a tin can.
  • A cigarette got into the feet of the young man who was wearing sneakers.

Bennett was told that he would have to have surgery, which took about two hours, and that he could lose his foot due to infection.

The young man’s family says they are afraid and worried.

When the doctor said I might lose my foot, I was extremely stressed as I was in the recovery process but the pain is much better now.
