The doctor who visited him this Saturday afternoon established it his state of health “is not compatible” with the police detention regime.

The suspect, a retired train conductor of French nationality, said it was “racist”.

The attack took place on Friday just before noon in Enghien street, next to a Kurdish cultural center, in a neighborhood with many bars, shops and the population of that community, in the 10th district of the French capital.

The perpetrator, known to police for two previous assassination attempts and one of which against migrants, was arrested at the time and taken into police custody.

The prisoner has two serious criminal records: in Seine St Denis he was the victim of a robbery and violently attacked his attacker with a knife.

He was tried for this case and the prosecution did not appeal. The second case was on December 8, 2021, when he arrived in the Bercy area, near the French Ministry of Economy, where the migrants had set up a tent city. He attacked them with a saber. He was tried for violence of a racist nature and premeditation.

Kurdish militants claim responsibility and serious incidents in Paris

The demonstration by Kurdish militants in Paris in tribute to the three victims of a shooting in front of a cultural site of that community in the French capital led to violent incidents and clashes with the police this Saturday.

Several thousand people demonstrated peacefully in the Plaza de la República, a few meters from the place where a 69-year-old pensioner killed three people and wounded three more in a fatal shooting on Friday before being arrested.

The demonstration, in which many of the participants carried Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) flags, was mostly peaceful.

But in the vicinity of the place where the demonstration took place there were several accidents and riots, with damage to street furniture and objects being thrown at the police officers who were watching.

The Kurdish community in France does not believe the official story that attributes the shooting that left three dead among its members in central Paris and believes that the deceased were victims of a “terrorist attack” after which they place Turkey.

Members of the Kurdish Democratic Council in France (CDKF) indicated in a press conference on Friday that the three victims, to which must be added many other wounded, one of these extremely serious, are the “political assassins”.
