A woman has found no better way to avoid paying down a debt than pretend to be dead. Yes, it’s not a joke. It happened in Indonesia and the woman had to pay 268 dollars.
Liza Dewi Pramita, we are talking about her, she had the help of her son to make everyone believe, with particular attention to her creditor, that she hadhe had died suddenly.
For this, Dewi Pramita laid like a corpse for some photos that the son took and then posted on Facebook, where he also announced the sad and unexpected news.
Dewi Pramita had received a loan from another woman named Maya Gunawan. It was already 4.2 million Indonesian rupees (about $168) and Pramita I had requested an extension for the returnthat Gunawan had granted him.
Gunawan knew Pramita from a group called Arisan of which they were both members. Arisan is a popular lottery system in Indonesia where members contribute small amounts of money each monthand a member receives the full amount for that particular month.
Since all members at some point receive the monthly amount, It is considered a type of investment.
Gunawan had never met Liza Dewi Pramita in person, but when she asked him for a loan, he asked some of the other members of the group about her, and none of them had anything bad to say her.
So he finally agreed to lend his IDR 4.2 million on the condition that Pramita return them by November 20th.
practicality missed the deadline and when she confronted her lender, she said she had trouble getting the money and asked for a loan extension.
Maya agreed, but her colleague he also missed the second deadline on Dec. 6 and even stopped responding to messages he sent.
Five days later, on December 11, the unexpected news arrived. Maya Gunawan was surprised to learn this the woman was dead.
Pramita’s son went to Facebook to announce that she he had tragically died in a car accident on a bridge in Medan.
Also posted photos of the woman’s body with eyes closed and with pieces of cotton in the nose, as well as a stretcher and medical personnel pushing a corpse covered in white sheets.
In the beginning, Gunwan saddened by the woman’s death and got the uncollected debt out of his head, but then Pramita’s son announced that he was going to rest in Aceh Tamiang, which was unusually far from his home.
This made him question everything, so he made up his mind inspect Facebook photos more carefully.
After googling the photos, he discovered that the ones that didn’t show the woman’s face were simply taken from the internet to fake her death.
When confronted with the boy about the photos, according to local media, he admitted it had all been a farce orchestrated by his mother to avoid having to pay your debts.
Yet his ruse still uncovered, Liza Dewi Pramita did not appear and to this day its whereabouts are unknown. And, of course, Maya still hasn’t received her money.
