Now, Licari, who is from Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, is accused putting his daughter through hell for more than twelve months, for reasons that no one, not even her, can explain.

The woman faces five chargesincluding two counts of child stalking, two counts of using a computer to commit a felony, and one count of obstruction of justice.

A call for help and a complaint

Licari’s daughter, desperate after months and months of constant cyberbullying who was suffering with her boyfriend and since he didn’t stop she turned to her mother for help.

Licardi reported the incident to the police and argued that the main perpetrators of the harassment were his daughter’s teenage classmates. In fact, she was very active in working to find the abusers. No one could think that she was responsible.

But It didn’t take long for investigators to discover the real culprit: the mother herself was the one behind the constant and humiliating bullying of her daughter. “The messages started in early 2021,” the police said.

“Harassment included anonymous threats and offensive text messages. The mother posed as someone the girl’s age and hid her true identity from the networks,” she added.

But when FBI experts were called for help, the entire screen that the woman had put together collapsed and managed to trace the woman by IP address.

During the investigation, the authorities compiled a collection of 349 pages of texts and social media messages sent by the woman.

The confession is an unsolved mystery

After collecting sufficient evidence, the investigators finally confronted the woman, who first managed to deny it but after a while came the full confession.

However, the reasons that prompted the woman to subject her daughter to hell are still being discussed they remain a mystery.

David Barbey, a county prosecutor in charge of this bizarre case, told the media that someone had coined the term “cybermunchausen” to describe the actions of Kendra Licari.

According to this theory, she made her daughter need her more, so that she can be the one to turn to for help. Licari herself has yet to reveal her reasons, if indeed there are any, and perhaps she will never do it.

Licari was arrested but later She was released on $5,000 bond. He faces up to 10 years in prison for cyber crimes and another 5 years for stalking and obstruction.
