The exchange of messages was accompanied by millions of Internet users on Twitter.

In the face of the controversy, Tate did not hold back and responded with a video of him appearing in front of a pizza package from a Romanian restaurant.

The prosecutor’s office and the lawyer of the former fighter, who has become a phenomenon in recent years, confirmed to Reuters that he and three other suspects were arrested this Thursday.

The four men, including the former champion’s brother Tristan, are suspected of “forming an organized group to recruit, host and exploit women by forcing them to produce pornographic content for private websites,” according to the Public Prosecutor’s Office.

Romania’s Organized Crime and Terrorism Investigation Directorate said in a press release that “two British citizens and two Romanians” were detained without providing the suspects’ identities. The court ordered the suspects to be detained for 24 hours after their interrogation.

The text says six victims of the group have been identified since 2021. According to the Romanian police force, they would be recruited “the darling boy method”, referring to a fake love affair with the aim of sexual exploitation.

Expelled from British BBB

Tate appeared on the British version of “Big Brother” in 2016, but was removed from the show after a video of him hitting a woman was released.

He was also banned from social media, including Twitter, for saying he was “responsible” for what happened to women who were sexually assaulted.

With the acquisition of the social network by Elon Musk, who unlocked all suspended accounts and relaxed the moderation rules on the social network, Andrew Tate was able to return to Twitter.

He then started making fun of Greta Thunberg, who has more than 5.4 million followers.
