“1883”: the “Yellowstone” prequel series that rocks Paramount+

Following the impressive success of the series “Yellow Stone”, the producers have developed a miniseries that serves as a prequel to the story of the Dutton family. It concerns “1883”written by Taylor Sheridan and available on Paramount Plus.

The production stars the famous actor sam elliott, famous for his work in films such as ‘A Star is Born’, ‘The Big Lebowski’ and ‘Road House’. In addition, he has the star participation of the country music singer Tim McGraw and actress Faith Hill.

Synopsis of “1883”

The plot, like “Yellowstone”, follows the family dutton -not the same characters from Kevin Costner’s series- traveling across the western United States, where they look for a place to settle down and live in peace.

But throughout the series they have to trust two men who will guide them through the wildernessas well as surviving harsh weather conditions, clashes with indigenous tribes and rural bandits.

Critics welcomed Sheridan’s new universe idea with open arms. In the IMDb, a site specializing in film criticism, had an average score of 8.8, higher than “Yellowstone”. On the other hand, the website Rotten tomatoes gave it an approval rating of 81% from audiences and 89% from outlet critics.

One of the high points of the cast is Tom Hanksknown for his role in ‘Forrest Gump’ and ‘Toy Story’, he has a special role in the series, albeit with a brief appearance.
