A plane of the local company Yeti Airlines I know crashed this Sunday January 15 in Nepal while attempting to land. Now a shocking video has been released showing when the plane loses control seconds before the crash which left at least 68 dead.
The tragic incident took place in the Pokhara district, about 200 kilometers west of Kathmandu. On board they traveled 72 peopleincluding an Argentine citizen whose identity has not yet been revealed.
The aircraft, a twin-engine turboprop ATR-72, plunged into a ravine twenty minutes after take off from Kathmandu at about 10:30 (4:45 UT) bound for Pokhara District Airport, a popular tourist center in that country.

In the images, which were posted by The mirror and attributed at this crash, the plane is seen moving to the right and apparently flipping over before hitting the ground. A few seconds later, the sound of impact is heard.
The video was shot by a Terrace and the impact it happened behind the building in question. Then, indicates the medium, a strong explosion was heard and they saw calls at the place where it crashed and a thick column of Smoke.
With a planned journey of less than half an hour, the crash happened as the plane was trying to land at its destination, Yeti Airlines spokesman Sudarshan Bartaula told EFE news agency. According to official reports, the plane crashed into a wooded land on the banks of the Seti Gandaki River.
Furthermore, according to the authorities, the the weather conditions were favourable at the time of the accident.
The burnt out fuselage of the device is in a deep ravine between the old airport of Pokhara, created in 1958, and the new international terminal of this city, inaugurated on January 1st.

According to information provided by the AFP agency, among the 72 people who were enrolled in the flight (68 passengers and 4 crew members) was an Argentine citizen.
They have also traveled 14 other foreigners: Five Indian nationals, four Russians, two Koreans, one Australian, one Irish and one Frenchman, the airline spokesman said.
So far I know they rescued 68 bodies and the intense search for the remaining four continues.
About the fact, the Nepalese prime ministerPushpa Kamal Dahal said he was “deeply saddened by the sad and tragic incident”.
For his part, Jyotiraditya Scindia, the country’s aviation minister, tweeted his condolences. “The loss of life in a tragic plane crash in Nepal is extremely unfortunate. My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the bereaved,” he posted.

The Nepalese air transport has grown a lot in recent years due to the high number of tourists, many of whom are mountain lovers.
However, the country has a more than negative balance in terms of safety airplane due to poorly trained pilots and aircraft maintenance issues.
So much so that the European Union has banned all Nepalese airlines from accessing its airspace for security reasons.

The most dramatic incident occurred at 1992when 167 people lost their lives when a Pakistan International Airlines plane crashed in an area also near the airport.
Two months earlier, a plane from Thai Airways had crashed in this same area and 113 people died.
In the last MayMeanwhile, a company plane Tara Aria with 22 people on board crashed near the Himalayas in western Nepal. Rescue teams identified at least fourteen bodies among the remains of the ship.
