Video: Emotional message from Paquita La del Barrio to Shakira

Shakira’s latest song, in collaboration with Bizarrap, has gone around the world and divided opinion. And it is that the Colombian artist lashed out at her ex-boyfriend, Gerard Piqué, and her new girlfriend, Clara Chía.

There are those who believe that the interpreter of “Monotonía” has not been able to overcome the betrayal of the former footballer. And others, for their part, expressed their full support for the singer, including Paquita of the neighborhood, who through social media has dedicated a message to him and also one of his songs.

With a video that she posted on her official Instagram account, the Mexican said she was an expert in this type of situation and gave her a couple of tips: “My dearest friend, that’s when I discovered that you had a problem with your family, I’m with you because I’m a woman and if anyone in life knows these things, it’s your friend,” she said.

The interpreter of “The mouse with two legs” asked her colleague not to let herself be discouraged and to go forward for the most important thing in life, what are your two children: “I can tell you that you really want it, the important thing is that you have your children, that you have someone to live for; you have everything in life, mija, so don’t worry.”

Paquita, in addition to placing herself under Shakira’s orders, also dedicated and sang the verse of one of her songs, in which she punishes men: “You used to make fun of me, you laughed, you treated me worse than your panties, but now I’m tired of bearing it and today you will love my humble songs… and here I leave you this pair of knee pads, do you know what for? So you can beat your mother”, feels interpreted.

Instagram was not the only social network where Paquita la del Barrio has shown her support for the Colombian singer-songwriter. The Mexican artist was also very active on Twitter and already last Thursday, the day of the song’s release, she declared that she was in the “Team Shakira”.

Who is Paquita?

Her biography tells that Francisca Viveros Barradas (Paquita la del Barrio) was born in Alto Lucero, Veracruz, in 1947, and that from an early age she showed talent for music. The problem (or the beginning of the inspiration, depending on how you look at it) He arrived when, at the age of 16, he met Miguel Gerardo, treasurer of the Municipal Presidency of his city. Paquita explained in an interview with Mexican channel Imagen Televisión that when she found out the man she was living with was married, it was too late. “The worst thing is that his wife went to my city and I realized that he was married, that’s where the hell started for me: messing with a married man and not knowing. I got pregnant, my son was born and I went with him”.
