Another boy, Rishabh Verma, 7, was traveling with his parents in a two-wheeler after buying a kite when a string cut his neck in Rakjot, an Aji Dam police station official said.

Similar incidents were reported in Vadodara, Kutch and Gandhinagar districts, resulting in the deaths of Swamiji Yadav, 35, Narendra Vaghela, 20, and Ashwin Gadhvi, whose throats were cut while riding his bicycle.

Swamiji Yadav, 35, died after having his throat cut with a wire while riding his two-wheeler over a bridge, while Narendra Vaghela, 20, died in a similar manner in Gandhidham town of Kutch district, Ashwin Gadhvi in Kalolo city. from Gandhinagar, they said.

According to information from local SEM officials, 130 people suffered lacerations and 46 were injured from falls from roofs and terraces during kite flying on Saturday and Sunday in those regions.

Among the districts, Ahmedabad recorded the highest number of 59 cases of injuries from kite strings and 10 cases of falls, 108-EMS said in a statement.
