“Avatar 2”: the film that Edward Norton did not want to make

The sequel to Avatars de Cameron follows Jake Sully, Ney’tiri and their children as they explore the regions beyond their Pandorian home.

When the human invaders return, Jake will do everything in his power to protect his family. even if it means going to war.

Apparently, Norton received an offer for the role directly from James Cameron. However, the actor declined after the director turned down an important request.

According to specialized media reports, Norton has expressed interest in accepting the role, as he and Cameron are close friends. Things got complicated when the actor pointed out that he wouldn’t be playing a character responsible for destroying Pandora.

In an interview with Total Film magazine, Norton explained that he had agreed to participate avatars 2 on the grounds that he would play a Na’vi, the blue race of humanoids who inhabit the land of Pandora and revere its natural splendor.

Inside Avatars original, humans want to plunder Pandora in search of a rare mineral, destroying everything in their path. The film was, in a sense, a commentary on humanity’s treatment of natural environments and the climate crisis in general.

Apparently, Norton was a huge fan of the original film, but didn’t want to play a villain in this new installment.. This made things difficult for Cameron, who had the actor in mind for a human role.

Eventually, he was forced to drop the idea when Norton said he meant to be a Na’vi or nothing at all. As a result, Norton does not appear in avatars 2. Still, there’s nothing to say he won’t appear in one of Cameron’s planned sequels, slated for release in 2023, 2025, and 2027.

The film that Edward Norton chose over “Avatar 2”
