An unexpected show in Rio de Janeiro
In the clip you can see how Agustina opens the curtains of the apartment to show what they hoped was a fabulous postcard. But not everything is as one imagines it.
The young woman then captioned the images of her stay in an area on the border between Copacabana and Ipanema: “When you don’t see the location you are about to rent.”
In this way, taken by another friend, it was seen that the girls were stand right in front of a Rio favela. And without much to do, she did so by smiling and opening her hands as if to “invite” anyone who would see her video, the image said.
Agustina explained that they had fixed the area, the exact position, but hadn’t taken into account that there was a favela there.
He also specified: “You enter from an avenue and you are one block from the beach, in an area that is always very busy”, justifies what ended up being a mistake.

Another young woman reflects on her experience but from the opposite point of view: “I stayed in a favela and it was the most beautiful thing in the world. We ended up eating at the neighbors house.. Everyone invited us, nothing to do with what you imagine”.
Along the same lines, a woman said she had been living in a favela for four years. “At first I didn’t even want to look out the window, but now I’m used to it and I like it.”
Regarding the error for not verifying the location correctly, a young woman suggested: “The first thing my boyfriend did was go around the neighborhood with him Google Maps because we were afraid it would happen to us.”
“The same thing happened to me, I didn’t see the location and when I went to the hostel it was in the favelas. Luckily nothing happened to me, I went up and down the hill with no problems,” concluded another guy.
