A passenger arriving in Istanbul, Turkey, experienced a heartbreaking situation: the airline lost the four dogs traveling with him in the cargo hold. The tourist, having learned of the dramatic situation, had a nervous breakdown at the airport, burst into tears and had to be rescued.
The video, recorded by a witness, went viral and generated empathy with the heartbroken man.
“Only those of us who love our 4-legged beings know what it feels like”, ‘I don’t wish anyone the panic attack you are experiencing. I hope you find them’, ‘You will never be able to understand this type of video, until you have the joy of experiencing that love’, ‘I almost cried, I understand your desperation, I hope it helps airlines have a best service and attention’.
The incident has opened a debate among users because this type of case is becoming more and more frequent, from pets that end up getting lost to some situations in which they die crushed by luggage.
In light of this, dozens of people believe that policies need to be changed so pets can travel in the cabin with their owners.
Happy ending
After several hours of uncertainty, the ailing passenger received great news: the pets were found during a stopover in Switzerland, where the tourist had landed before arriving in Istanbul, Turkey.
Lost to Ezeiza
In 2019, a similar case occurred at Ezeiza International Airport. There, a dog escaped from a cage as it was about to be boarded a plane bound for Barcelona. The animal broke the side of the kennel and managed to get out.
The end in this case was very sad, since Mona the dog never appeared. It was searched in and around Ezeiza, but could not be found.
