At least 24 dead when a bus fell off a cliff in Peru

At least 24 people died this Saturday in the Peruvian region of Piura, north of Lima, when a bus with 60 passengers on board He fell off a cliff at dawn, for as yet unknown reasons.

“SUTRAN has activated all the intervention protocols, coordinating in an articulated way with the competent authorities in order to collect information related to the accident,” the agency said.

An unknown number of people were injured and taken to hospitals in El Alto and Máncora, popular summer resorts in Peru, on the road to Piura, some 1,000km north of Lima.
