Beer: how excessive consumption affects health

According to research by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), moderate beer consumption is 400 milliliters per day for a woman and 700 for a man, which is equivalent to about two cans of beer.

Properties of beer

In contrast, a study conducted by the Beer and Health Information Center, connected to CSIC extension The Spaniard, in collaboration with various universities and medical centers, ensures that beer can provide various properties to the human body, as long as its consumption is moderate.

This study reveals that moderate beer drinkers have lower risk of diabetes o hypertension compared to those who drink other alcoholic beverages, as well as a higher presence of good cholesterol (HDL).

They also highlighted the benefits in terms of nutritional content, since beer has good protein levelscarbohydrates, folic acid and vitamins.
