One of the hottest topics on British TV and all of the British media is the disappearance of Nicola Bulley. Everything around his case is shrouded in an aura of mystery which to this day has no precise explanations.
The 45-year-old mortgage broker went out for a walk with his dog Willow and never came home. She was last seen on 27 January at 9 in the morning, in Garstang Road, next to the River Wyre, in the town of St. Michael’s on Wyre (Lancashire), a stone’s throw from the English west coast.
The disappearance would have occurred within minutes, as at 9 he started a work video call and perhaps before 9:20 a person found his phone on a bench next to the off-leash springer spaniel dog. The video call was still going on, but Bulley’s cell phone was muted.
According to the reconstruction of the facts, at 8:45 am Bulley dropped off his two daughters at school and then went to walk his dog along the path along the river. In that place, he may have come across an unknown man in his seventies, white, tall and burly, walking a white-furred dog on a leash and would have nothing to do with the case.
A few minutes before 9, Nicola sent an email to her boss and at 9 she connected to the video call. From that moment, since the woman had the camera off, we don’t know what else happened.
The investigation
Emma White, a friend of Nicola’s, appeared on Good Morning Britain television on Friday asking for help.
The available information is very little and there are practically no indications of anything: Bulley allegedly gave no “indication” of her disappearance and there is no believed to have been any third party involvement in her disappearance..
Currently, after her family reports her missing, a desperate search is underway in the area which is led by Lancashire Police and emergency teams (also Mountain Rescue and Underwater Search).
“There are no reports of any criminal activity or Nicola being attacked… anything like that,” he said. Sally Riley, one of the police officers in charge of the investigation. “(The mobile) was connected to a video conference which was still active,” she added in statements to The Mirror.
One of the things police are investigating is the video call Nicola had made with the mortgage company Exclusively Mortgages. The director of the company, Ben Pociechaconfirmed that the woman attended the conference call with the camera off and muted, as she was hearing everything while walking the dog.
Police say there are no reports that Nicola was attacked. “Clearly all of the scenarios are tried and true, but in the absence of anything to suggest a crime was involved, there’s also nothing to suggest she was attacked,” Riley explained.
