“Someone bought a used sofa and the dog arrived inside the sofa as a gift. Unbelievable, but that’s exactly what happened,” described an organization dedicated to giving dogs up for adoption.
The case was as described by the non-profit organization”Action Front for Animal Rights” (FRADA), based in Joinville, Santa Catarina. So cruel and inexplicable. A woman bought a used sofa and a dog appeared inside.
“An increasingly daring and cruel human being. However, we don’t know what happened,” the Brazilian organization continues before offering a phone number to anyone wishing to adopt her.
Happy ending
Luckily, as the subtitle suggests, the dog has found a home and is doing well. Soraya Gomes Garcíathe new guardian said he was “very happy” that the puppy appeared in his life.
The animal is 7 months old and is called mel. The choice of name had to do with an old pet of Soraya’s that died two years ago and went by the same name.
“He’s got all the eyes of Mel,” Garcia said. In conversation with g1 SC, Soraya also commented that the new inhabitant has come with her back against the wall, but that she is already acclimatised and happy in her home.
The adopter’s sister commented in the publication FRADA that the dog arrived quickly at Soraya’s house and that “there is no way (the dog) slipped” onto the sofa.
“My brother-in-law had to pull the bottom to get it out, poor thing. I was very hungry and thirsty, in fact I was about to die”, concluded the woman.
