Japanese media News Post Seven reported on the 8th that a high school student who caused controversy by spitting at a large franchise sushi restaurant in Japan eventually dropped out.

The controversial student last month at Japan’s largest conveyor belt sushi chain ‘Sushiro’ in Masaki, Gifu Prefecture, behaved in a nuisance such as spitting on soy sauce containers, water cups and sushi on a rotating table used by others, filmed and posted it on social media.

As the video spread and concerns about hygiene in Sushiro grew, on the 31st of last month, the stock price of F&L, the parent company of ‘Akindo Sushiro’, which operates ‘Sushiro’, plummeted by nearly 5%, and the market capitalization of about 1600 in one day. Billions of dollars have evaporated.

In response, Akindosushiro announced on the 1st that he had finished reporting the video to the police and apologized to the guardian of the video, but said that he would proceed with civil and criminal lawsuits and respond strictly.

According to News Post Seven, the main character in the video, the yellow-haired student, is a male student attending a public high school in Gifu Prefecture. Originally, it wasn’t even yellow, but I heard that I only dyed my hair during vacation with my parents’ permission. I never thought I would do something like that,” he said, regretting this incident.

Mr. A said, “Because of this incident, the parents of the students were also speechless. The student withdrew from school, saying that he could no longer cause a nuisance.” This is because after the incident, phone calls accusing students flooded into the school.

At the Sushiro store in Masaki, Gifu Prefecture, where the current incident took place, sushi is no longer served on turntables. Instead, it is said that a plate topped with a photo or illustration is spinning on a rotating table.
