Reading the news, several social network users have underlined the similarities between this story and the fate of one of the characters in Roald Dahl’s “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory”.

Who is Willy Wonka and what happened in his chocolate factory?

Willy Wonka is a fictional character from the book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory written in 1964 by Roald Dahl.

There, Wonka is a famous chocolatier who, after having been very successful with his sweets and chocolates, decides to close his factory because several of his workers have betrayed him and brought to light several of his secret recipes; this made the chocolatier insecure and decided to close his factory to the public.

However, the factory continued to make sweets for everyone with the help of their Oompa Loompa helpers. They are in love with cocoa just like Wonka, that’s why they agreed to work in the factory… All for the cocoa.

In the film there is Charlie, a boy with few resources, a lover of Wonka sweets, who lives with his parents and grandparents,

Wonka has announced that inside the chocolates Wonka has hidden 5 golden tickets, whoever finds them will be able to visit his factory. It must be remembered that the factory had been closed to the public for years and this opportunity was unique and anything happens during the visit.

Wonka, in Tim Burton’s film, was played by Johnny Depp, who popularized the character and forever associated him with the world of cocoa and chocolate. Like now after the accident of the M&M factory workers.
