10-year-old girl rescued after 185 hours in Turkiye… Miracle Survival Continues

On the 13th (local time), the 8th day after the great earthquake that struck Turkiye, news of the miraculous survival of 180 hours in the rubble continues.

According to Turkey’s state-run Anatolu News Agency and CNN, a 10-year-old girl, Aika Seplin, was rescued 185 hours after the earthquake struck in Kahramanmaras, southern Turkey.

Cephlin was found among the rubble of a collapsed apartment building. Kahramanmaras is the secondary epicenter of this earthquake and is one of the areas most affected.

In the southern Hatay Antakya region, 67-year-old Hussein Berber was rescued after 185 hours. Ugur Ibrahim, mayor of Altai Turkiye Konia, tweeted: “Our rescue team rescued Uncle Hussein, 67 years old. Thank you” and posted a rescue video.

In Antakya, good news was heard that the brothers were rescued from the rubble side by side after 181 hours.

In southern Adiyaman, a young girl named Mirey was rescued after 178 hours. Turkey’s Health Minister Parentin Koca posted a video of the girl’s rescue on Twitter. In the video, rescuers put an oxygen mask on the girl and promise to give her strawberry milk and bagels soon.

Although the 72 hours of lifesaving ‘golden time’ have passed, desperate rescue operations are continuing as news of survivors’ rescues is transmitted intermittently.

The earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria on the 6th has now killed more than 36,000 people. There are also 92,600 injured.
