The Romanian and Moldovan authorities have reported the presence of mysterious objects similar to weather balloons traversing its skies.
Faced with this, both countries agreed to take measures: Romania has sent military aircraft and its neighbor Moldova temporarily closed its airspace on Tuesday 14 February.

The accidents occurred around noon local time and were generated for a few moments concern in the two Eastern European countries, both bordering Ukraine and affected by the war.
He Romanian Ministry of Defence reported that he had sent two aircraft under NATO command to the southeastern part of Romania in search of a aerial object which he described as small and having “characteristics similar to those of a weather balloon”.
The object had been initially detected by radar systems in Romanian airspace at an altitude of approximately 36,000 feet (11,000 meters).
“The crews of the two planes they have not confirmed attendance of the aerial target, neither visually nor with on-board radars”, reads a statement from the ministry.
