One study has suggested this drinking cola might increase the size of the testicles in humans. The use of the conditional has to do with the fact that the Minzu University of Northwest China experiment was not conducted on people, but on mice.

The research, published in the journal Acta Endocrinologica (Bucharest) in the July-September 2022 edition, volume 18, number 3, aimed to “study the influences of carbonated drinks (CB) on testicular growth and androgen receptor expression levels of the mouse (AR).

The results showed that the large cola-drinking male mice appeared with larger testicles and higher testosterone levels.

The results in the mice began to be seen 10 or 15 days after the start of the experiment. The individuals were divided into 5 groups. One group got 50 percent of one brand of cola mixed with tap water, the second got just cola, the third and fourth drank the same thing but with a different brand of cola, and the fifth got plain water.

Despite the findings, the scientists revealed that the mice used in the study did not mate.
