Those wishing to enter can find the most perfect heart-shaped chip out of over 20 Walkers potato chip products, take a photo, and post it on their social media accounts. Among the entries, 20 finalists will be selected considering how symmetrical the heart shape looks and how arched the two curves are.

The contestants who have been nominated for the final round go through the process of checking the heart-shaped potato chips and the snack bag containing the chips through a video call. Of these, the owner of the best heart-shaped chip will be awarded £100,000.

On the 15th, Don Sagar (40), a supermarket worker in the UK, found a heart-shaped potato chip while eating Walkers’ potato chips ‘Ready Salted’ before work.

Sagar, who was fascinated by the shape of the potato chip, took a photo with his mobile phone and shared it with his friends. Afterwards, he ate all of the potato chips before they got soggy.

A friend who saw the photo asked, “Would you like to submit the potato chips to the ‘contest’?” Sagar, who was unaware of Walkers’ application event, felt sorry for his friend’s explanation.

However, he said in an interview with local media, “I’ve never had that much money in my entire life. Maybe the prize money made me unhappy,” he said.

Upon hearing the story, a spokesperson for Walkers acknowledged that Sagar’s heart chips could have been a favorite, but stressed there was plenty of time to find a more “perfect” heart chip. The spokesperson said if you’re looking for heart-shaped potato chips, don’t forget to store the chips and snack bags.
