As soon as the press conference began, Fan Bingbing was asked about the 2018 tax evasion controversy. The moderator asked them to refrain from asking questions that had nothing to do with ‘Green Night’, but Fan Bingbing rather responded, “I’m fine.” At the same time, he said, “I was at home and I want to thank all the fans around the world who worried about me.”

“As you know, there are highs and lows in everyone’s life. When you reach a lower level, you slowly rise again. It’s been a tough process, but at the same time I’m learning a lot of new things. Looking back, it was a really good experience. Everything is fine now,” he added.

It has been 11 years since Fan Bingbing visited Berlin for the 2012 film ‘Lost in Beijing’. “I’m back after 10 years and it’s like starting over for me,” she said.

But for the past 5 years, I haven’t acted. “It was pretty brutal,” Fan Bingbing said. Because I like acting,” he said. “So ‘Green Night’ was a very valuable opportunity for me. I felt that I had to use 120% of my abilities.”

‘Green Knight’, the second film by Chinese director Shuai Han, tells the story of Jinsha (Fan Bingbing), a Chinese immigrant who works at the security checkpoint, when he meets a young and lively green-haired woman one day. The green-haired woman was played by Korean actress Lee Joo-young. Lee Ju-young also attended the press conference that day.

Meanwhile, Fan Bingbing disappeared after allegations of evading large sums of money were raised in June 2018. Since then, various rumors such as rumors of death and purges have followed. Four months after the suspicion arose, he left a statement of reflection on social media. Since then, he has disappeared and has not been active.

Fan Bingbing rose to the ranks of top stars with the Chinese drama ‘The Emperor’s Daughter’ (1998) and the film ‘Cell Phone’ (2003). In particular, he appeared in Hollywood blockbusters such as the films ‘Iron Man 3’ (2013) and ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ (2014), becoming a leading actor in China.

It is also familiar to Korean moviegoers. He worked with Jang Dong-gun in the movie ‘My Way’ (2011) directed by Kang Je-gyu. She appeared alongside Liu Dehua, Ahn Seong-ki, and Choi Si-won in the Korea-China-Japan joint film ‘Muk Gong’ (2006). In the Korean-Chinese joint film ‘Sophie’s Dating Manual’ (2009), she acted with So Ji-sub and Zhang Ziyi.
