Pamela Cabanillas Sanchez accused of being the ringleader of an organization that carried out fraud by cloning concert tickets, she was arrested in Madrid.
Cabanillas Sánchez, 18, scammed dozens of people out of concert tickets for artists like Daddy Yankee, Morat, Bad Bunny, Coldplay and even World Cup qualifying soccer matches. After committing the crimes, she fled to Spain, where she has just been arrested.
Pamela is accused of being one of the leaders of the Los QR de la Estafa criminal network, which allegedly sold fraudulent tickets to various recitals by foreign artists. Similarly, on February 15, the international arrest warrant for Cabanillas was issued to locate his position in Europe.
The scammer had cloned more than 7,000 tickets for Daddy Yankee’s farewell tour and it is believed that he managed to raise more than half a million dollars.
The Peruvian had previously been arrested in Spain after being accused of theft of clothes; however, she was released hours later.
One of his accomplices, Franco Patiño (21) and his partner, Adriana Urresti (18), were arrested at Jorge Chavez airport when they attempted to enter the country in December last year. Both had fled to Colombia before the scam cases became nationally known.
The prosecutor specifies that the modus operandi of Pamela Cabanillas consisted in offering tickets through social networks, justifying the low price of these because his father worked in the Peruvian Association of Authors and Composers (APDAYC).
He then met his victims, showed his ID and took them to his supposed home, earning their trust. After making the transaction, she blocked the scammers to avoid complaints.
Pamela Cabanillas remains active on her social networks and in her latest January publications she has posted photos in which she is seen posing in the Milan Cathedral and in a train station in Spain.
