A trans lab teacher has been placed on mandatory leave after the teacher lectured with huge prosthetics that caught the attention of her students. Kayla Lemieux She was suspended with salary until the situation is clarified.
According to the school’s investigation, the teacher used giant plastic breasts to teach, as well as a wig and women’s clothing. But she outside of school she wore men’s clothes. This situation has caught the attention of the authorities of a school in Canada, where the story takes place.
“Although not currently in active tenure, the teacher remains employed by the (Halton District School Board),” spokeswoman Heather Francey told the Toronto Sun. Lemieux’s suspension comes after Education Minister Stephen Lecce and Halton Region MPs Natalie Pierre, Stephen Crawford and Effie Triantafilopoulos criticized the school board for “abdicating its responsibilities by failing to put the interests and safety of students students,” according to the Sun.
A mother named Lynn told the school board on Wednesday that “the forms of identity and expression that arise in the school environment [deben] be scrutinized against child protection practices”.
The board has been largely silent on Lemieux, while parents raged for months because he used prosthetics in front of students.
Photos and videos shot at school show her wearing skin-tight clothing with large nipples protruding from under the fabric of her blouse. The controversy led to numerous threats of violence against Lemieux and school officials.
Board meetings have descended into chaos as he tries to address the issue.
The saga garnered international attention and came to a head after The Post revealed last month that, once out of school, Lemieux often takes off her breasts, wig and makeup and appears as a man, shocking the precinct.
Photos in the publication showed Lemieux dressed in men’s trousers, trainers and a padded vest, sno signs of breasts, makeup, glasses or wig, a dress that her neighbor said she very seldom wears. In an interview with The Post, she insisted that the man in her photos wasn’t her, though she admitted she couldn’t prove it and denied using breast implants.
“These are real,” Lemieux said, adding that he couldn’t tell who the person being photographed was “because I don’t want to involve anyone else in this.” “This is who I am. This is how I look. You’ve talked to people in my building, but what they’re telling you is harsh and false. I always walk out looking like I do.”
Lemieux told The Post that although she began undergoing HRT in 2021 and was “in transition,” “she is not a transgender person”, but she was born “intersex”.
The teacher said her extra large breasts are caused by a condition called “gigantomastia”, but she also admitted that she was never officially diagnosed.
Gigantomastia is “a rare condition involving the development of extremely large breasts due to excessive growth of breast tissue,” according to the renowned Cleveland Clinic, which said there are only about 300 reported cases.
Outraged parents called on the Halton District School Board to impose a dress code for teachers, which was initially nixed last year over concerns it violated Ontario’s human rights code.
In January, the school board agreed to develop a policy requiring teachers maintain a “correct and professional” appearance. Lemieux told The Post he would “follow the council’s instructions on what they ordered,” but denied dressing provocatively.
“I don’t think there is any problem with the way I dressed. It is the personal opinion of other people. I don’t think I dressed unprofessionally,” she said.
