With this time change, the sun will set one hour later than it would naturally be. Most digital clocks, whether on computers or cell phones, will change automatically; but in the case of watches that are not of this type, they will have to be adjusted manually.

When will daylight saving time change in the US?

Known as Summer Time, this 2023 will take effect from March 12early in the morning. will start at 2 in the morning; i.e. at that time all clocks should be set to 3 o’clock. This means that dawn will come later than March 11 and the early hours will be darker. But, on the other hand, this will represent less energy consumption, as sunset will take longer to arrive.

Daylight saving time will not be implemented in some countries and states

There are certain areas that will be exempt from complying with this schedule. Countries like Puerto RicoAmerican Samoa, the Northern Mariana Islands and the US Virgin Islands they will not respect the time change.

On the other hand, some states such as Alaska, Hawaii The United States and Arizona have their own time change regulations, so daylight saving time will not apply in those areas either.

However, there is a possibility that this will be the last time times are changed in the United States. Some analyses, such as a 2022 CNN poll, argue that there is a large percentage of Americans who would prefer stop doing that and what’s left set daylight saving time.
