Twitter day after day offers us incredible stories. One of them, which recently went viral, is the one narrated by Teo (@teo7ok)an Argentine pediatrician who said he let his grandfather know that he had spent 87 years of his life celebrating his birthday badly.

“I have to say this because I can’t believe it”, Teo began in a thread on Monday 13 March.

“Tomorrow is my grandfather’s birthday, he is 87 years old. With my mother we decided to give him a cell phone because the one he had broke and cut off the line and they only kept my grandmother’s “, he continued referring to this Tuesday 14.

For this reason, a few days ago, he and his mother went together to a telephone company to buy him a new telephone: “It seemed to us that he must have a way of communicating”.

Once there, they both wanted to put the cell phone in his name, but there was a problem because the phone company employee looked up his information through the system and figured out that his date of birth was March 15th, i.e. a day after what they thought was her birthday.

Due to this confusion, Teo ended up registering the phone to his mother. However, the information provided by the telephone company employee was spinning in his head.

“I remember that a few years ago, in an online procedure I carried out, his date of birth also appeared on 3/15”, said the pediatrician.

So when they came out of the club, his mother told him: “This could be a problem for him or for us at some point, that his date of birth appears wrong. Let’s go home to ask for his identity card and tomorrow we’ll go to the registry office or see how to solve it ”.

The funny thing is that later, when they told their grandfather about the situation, the man was surprised. And in that moment they understood the truth: all your documents (old and current ID, marriage certificate and other documents) show that your date of birth is March 15th instead of March 14th.

The pediatrician added that, according to his grandfather, his parents always celebrated his birthday on March 14 instead of the 15th when he was actually born. “I swear I can’t think of how he’s never looked at his ID, and neither have any of us! FOR 87 YEARS HE HAS LIVED BELIEVE HE WAS BORN ON A DAY WHICH HE WASN’T BORN, BUT ALSO APPEARS EVERYWHERE!”

Finally, Teo said that he and his mother laughed a lot at the situation and that they changed the date of his birthday party to the real one. “He kills himself laughing, it’s a hang up,” concluded the tweeter.

In a conversation with Clarín, Teo said that his grandfather is an “incapable and absent-minded” man, but that, yes, he has never imagined him “to the point of not even knowing what day he was born”.
