The impressive capsizing of a ship in Scotland: 21 people are hospitalized

Twenty-one people were taken to hospital and twelve others received minor injuries the following Wednesday a “major accident” in a Scottish dry dock where a vessel capsized partially in strong winds.

Images broadcast on British television showed a science mission vessel, the ‘Petrel’ – which belonged to the late Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen – tilted at a 45-degree angle.

The Scottish Ambulance Service reported that they had taken 21 patients in the hospital and cared for 12 more in place, after dispatch five ambulancesan air ambulance and three trauma teams.

The “major accident”, caused by “strong winds” according to adviser Adam McVey, began at around 0830 local time (GMT).

According to the press, the vessel weighs 3,000 tons and is in dry dock as of 2020.
