In India, a high-rise amusement park crashed after a cable broke. 15 people were seriously injured in the accident and taken to the hospital.

According to Indian local media NDTV and India Today on the 22nd (local time), an accident occurred when a simple amusement ride installed by a local group in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, crashed. The ride was operated by connecting a machine to a cable and repeating its rise and fall, but the cable was cut.

The accident occurred around 6:15 in the evening. The ride, which had reached its highest height at the time, crashed to the floor with a roar. Video footage of the accident recorded the sounds of children moaning and parents screaming.

The injured were transported to the nearby JLN hospital by local police and paramedics who were dispatched immediately after the accident.

According to local police investigation, a total of 25 people were on the ride at the time, and it was confirmed that 15 of them were children. A total of 15 people were seriously injured, including 7 children.

The Indian police said, “The cable supporting the ride broke and the accident occurred. The exact cause of the accident will be revealed in detail through a later investigation.”

In recent years, accidents related to amusement equipment have continued in India.

In 2019, there was an accident in Gujarat, India, where an amusement park crashed, killing two people and injuring 29 others. In September of last year, at a fair held in Mohali, Punjab, India, a drop tower ride installed for visitors lost its braking power and crashed. Of the 50 people on board, 16 were injured in the accident.
